Course Objectives
know the main techniques of non-destructive (NDT) encountered in the industry.
Syllabus
- Surface NDT methods: liquid penetrant testing, Eddy Current, magnetic particle inspection
- Volumetric NDT methods: ultrasonic testing, X-rays or gamma rays radiography
- Global NDT method : acoustic emission
Practical work (TD or TP)
Tutorial classes and demonstrations : liquid penetrant testing, Eddy Current, magnetic particle inspection,ultrasonic testing, X-rays or gamma rays radiography
Acquired skills
Be able to choose a non-destructive testing method based on the material, the type of defect and its environment.
