- Get a general knowledge of the different type of fillers and polymers classes of polymers and the main reinforcements used in polymer composite materials - Understand the main processes of production of these composites |

- Introduction to the main polymers used in the composite materials (thermoplastics, thermoset, elastomers) - Introduction to the main fillers (additives, reinforcing fillers, fibers and cloth reinforcements) - Introduction to the architecture of composite materials (laminates, sandwich etc..) |

Practical work (TD or TP) | |
Tutorial classes: Select the suitable matrix and filler and determine the volume fraction of filler to full fill the specific mechanical properties requirements of a polymer composite | |
Acquired skills | |
Acquire a good understanding of the polymer composite materials used in industry and be able to use the most suitable process to fullfill technical and economic criteria | |
