Obtain the basic knowledge of the finite element method. | |
Syllabus | |
Digital simulation: applications and issues Reminder of notions: - Tensors of stresses and deformations, equilibrium equation, laws of behavior. Theorem of potential energy. Finite element method: - Principle of the finite element method (mesh, approximation, elementary calculations, assembly and resolution); - Meshing and geometry; - Discretization of potential energy; Basic functions: - Properties and determination of basic functions directly and undirectly. - Jacobian matrix of transformation. |

Tutorials : - Bar (comparison of 3 types of modeling); - Calculations on a stiffener; - Calculations in a lattice. |
