1MAC2 Mechanics of materials 1 Materials and Mechanics - Apprenticeship S5
Lessons : 15 h TD : 15 h TP : 0 h Project : 0 h Total : 30 h
Co-ordinator : Antoine GUEYDAN
Prerequisite
- Mathematics : trigonometry, vector product, space projection
Course Objectives
- Ability to pose a mechanical problem by defining a coordinate system on the isolated body diagram in 2D and 3D.
- Solve the static balance of a part for concentrated effort and / or distributed effort
- Master the essential tools l of the resistance of materials: simplification of a force system, theorems and methods (Maxwell, parallel axes, lattice sections, shear diagrams and bending moments), calculation of internal forces
- Identify and calculate the internal elastic loading undergone by the material
Syllabus
1 - Introduction to the objectives of mechanics
2 - Static material points
3- Static rigid bodies in the plane
4- Static rigid bodies in space
5- Distributed Forces: Center of Gravity
6- Structural studies
7- Strength in beams and cables
8- Friction
9- Moments of inertia
Practical work (TD or TP)
The applications are conducted as tutorials. A significant number of applications on each part of the course is set up.
Acquired skills
- Solid foundations in static mechanics, necessary to understand the course of resistance of materials 2
- Autonomy of resolution of a problem of mechanics
- Aspects described in the objectives of teaching
