Course Objectives
Acquire the scientific and technological bases of the various conventional processes for shaping polymers and metals
Syllabus
Technology and use of different techniques for the shaping of metals and alloys:
Solidification of alloys, Structural supercooling, Casting of ingots, Continuous casting, casting defaults
Forming by hot plastic deformation: mechanical behavior of metals during hot deformation, Forging (free, stamping), extrusion, and rolling
Cold forming: Rolling, Forging / extrusion, cold forming processes (bending, stamping, ...)

Implementation of thermoplastics (extrusion, injection, calendering, thermoforming, ...)
Implementation of thermosets and composites
Finishing: assembly, gluing, welding
Reactive extrusion
Practical work (TD or TP)
