Course Objectives
Acquire a general knowledge about composites based on ceramic metallic and polymer matrices. To understand the elaboration of those composites with the importance of interfacial compatibility between the matrix and the fillers. Assimilate the mechanical behaviour of laminates polymer matrix composites

- Introduction to ceramic, metallic and polymer composites
- The fillers in composites
- The polymers matrices
- the physical and chemical properties of interfaces
- Elastic behavior of laminate composites, interactive criteria
Practical work (TD or TP)
Tutorial classes: mechanical properties of polymers based composites
Acquired skills
- Be able to understand the specificities of various composites based on ceramics, metals or polymers
- Be able to determinate the mechanical properties and interactive criteria of a laminate
