Course Objectives
Learn and understand the transformations (detailed mechanisms, specific cases) of carbonyl and carboxyl groups enabling the preparation of complexe organic compounds (natural products, agrochemical, drugs...)
Syllabus
1-Introduction
2-Nucleophilic Additions(carbonyle groups)
3-Nucleophilic substitution on carboxyle groups
4-Reactions on the alpha postion of carbonyle : enol, enolate, enamine
5-Aldol, Mannich and Claisen reactions

7-Ylides and carbonyle compounds
8-Miscelleneous reactions
9-Additional (List of rearrangements involving carbonyle and carboxyle groups, oxidations et reductions)
Practical work (TD or TP)
Tutorials : using the main knowledge learned with the course to solve problems of organic synthesis involving carbonylated and carboxylated fucntional groups
Acquired skills
Master the main tools (reactions, reagents, mechanisms, solvents) required to adress the multi-step synthesis of complex molecules
