Course Objectives
The aim of this teaching is to introduce students to the various bibliographic sources available on the web as well as the Reaxys® search engine. The aim of this training is also to make the students autonomous during their various laboratory research internships for bibliographic research and for the market research of commercial chemicals. This research will focus solely on the field of organic chemistry.
Syllabus
Several websites will be visited and used: -Commercial Product sites (Sigma Aldrich, Acros Organics and Alfa Easar) -The sites of the publishers of periodic international newspapers (ACS, Wiley, RSC, Elsevier,...) -Patent sites (espacenet) -The Sudoc of the University for the research of thesis In-depth training of the Reaxys software will also be offered with searches by author, substance and reaction with the use of many advanced software options as well.

Acquired skills
The student will be able to do a search by author and find the bibliography of it. It will also be able to find physico-chemical data from publications in international newspapers or commercial products. It will be able to find the best synthetic pathways described in the literature for obtaining organic or organometallic molecules. Finally, it will also be able to evaluate the cost of these syntheses through a market study.
