Analytical techniques: Infra-red, 1h NMR spectroscopy
Course Objectives | |
Complete the knowledge gained in structural determination
Syllabus | |
This module concerns the basics of mass spectroscopy, C-and UV-NMR necessary for their application to the study of organic molecules. Several concepts should be assimilated: molecular ionization, IE mass spectrometry, IC, molecular fragmentation, 13c NMR (chemical shift, coupling/decoupling, spectra Analysis) and UV (theory, Woodward rules, Woodward-Fieser and Scott, applications)
Practical work (TD or TP)

Acquired skills | |
Be able, from a set of analytical data studied in first and second year (NMR, IR, UV-visible, mass), to determine the structure of an organic compound
