2M2AC1 Elastoplasticity of metallic alloys Materials and Chemistry S7
Lessons : 12 h TD : 12 h TP : 16 h Project : 0 h Total : 40 h
Co-ordinator : Eric Hug
Prerequisite

Course Objectives
This course first addresses the constitutive laws in plasticity of materials subjected to any three-dimensional mechanical stress. In a second step, the hardening mechanisms by metallurgical techniques are studied: solid solution, precipitation, grain size and hardening. Microstructural aspects: dislocation and hardening
Syllabus
1. Generalities on the mechanical behavior of materials
2. Criteria of plasticity
3. Laws of three-dimensional plasticity
4. Microstructural plasticity
5. Hardening Mechanisms of Metal Alloys
6. Mechanical properties of some unconventional materials
Practical work (TD or TP)
Optimisation des propriétés mécaniques des alliages métalliques

Optimisation de la mise en forme et de la durée de vie des structures
Acquired skills
The student will have acquired the main knowledge for an engineer to integrate the constitutive laws elastoplastic materials in structural calculations and modeling of complex industrial parts. In addition, he will master the industrial processes of heat treatments to optimize the mechanical properties of metal alloys.
