Course Objectives | |
Introduction to the contemporary Japanese and learning of the sentence construction and the basic vocabularies, so that the student will be able to understand and build simple wordings. The lessons combine the use of the oral and the written language. They include also necessarily elements concerning the Japanese culture. |

Syllabus | |
The following basic knowledge will be acquired by studying short texts, authentic documents, video extracts and also with the communication between teacher and students. 1. The syllabary hiragana. 2. The syllabary katakana. 3. 80 common kanji (sinograms). 4. Polite forms and customs. 5. The enclitic particles ha, ga, mo, no, to, ya, o, ni, de, e. 6. Affirmative, interrogative and negative wordings. 7. The verbal word: the copula desu, forms on -masu/-masen, -mashita/-masen deshita, suspensive form on -te, morphological principles for verbal words. 8. Qualifying words: changeable (on ?i) and unchangeable (on ?na). 9. Demonstratives et interrogatives 10. Numbers and numeral classifiers. 11. Time expressions (hour, day, month, year). 12. Common vocabulary (objects in the class room, buildings, food, clothes, electric devices, and environment). |
